Interaction
AMIS is fortunate enough to have many seasoned professional in the IT industry come in and speak to our members about their job roles and what is like working in the industry. These guest speaker events are a great forum for our members to interact and get their names out there by conducting a dialogue with these industry professionals. Some of our guest speakers include Phil Jaurigue, President and founder of Sabre Systems, Joe Weiss, Chairman of Electronic Ink, and David S. Kauffman, Senior Vice President and CIO of Aramark.

Every student knows just how important internships are in landing a good job after college. As an AMIS member, internship opportunities, from the MIS department, are offered to you first. The MIS department sends us numerous internship opportunities that you get to see first, in many cases before MIS students.
Camaraderie
Many MIS members have said that by joining AMIS, they have received a sense of belonging. By becoming a member, you get to connect with your peers at the many social events that we hold year round. Some of our events include paintball, bowling, and international dinners.
